Organisation aims / mission / values

  • CELEBRATING PEOPLE’S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MOON ACROSS CULTURES, TIME AND DISCIPLINES AND COINCIDING WITH THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE MOON LANDING.
  • With the goal of breathing wonder into London’s nights, the festival will showcase an eclectic programme of art, music, politics, science, astronomy, gastronomy and botany – all seen through a lunar lens.
  • Our Night School is a programme to get Londoners to shape and appreciate their city at night. Our guiding light is the Moon, under which glow the best art, poetry, trading and dealings have been carried out. We offer training, we champion community and we promise you’ll be part of making a crazy good party happen.

How we deliver these aims

We have an eclectic programme of art, music, politics, science, astronomy, gastronomy and botany with events happening during the day and all through the night during the week of 19- 26 July. For our Night School, we have teamed up with experienced producers to offer training schemes and are giving commissions ranging from £100- £5000 to young Londoners to create and shape their city at night.

Who benefits from our work

Our opening night free street party is open to everyone. We have created a lunar garden with a group of Nepelese women. Our Night school is aimed at young people aged 18- 25. Our researchers have worked with a large number of cultural organisations around the borough of Greenwich.
