How we deliver these aims

Link Age Southwark is a vibrant local charity providing friendly volunteer support to over 800 isolated, older people in Southwark. We have been working in Southwark for over 25 years, reducing loneliness and isolation and helping older people maintain active lives within the community. Our fantastic volunteers support older people to thrive in later life, through: One-to-one befriending visits and telephone befriending Activity groups with volunteer transport (our activity groups have moved online during the lockdown) Practical support including light gardening and help with odd jobs Intergenerational work with local schools Our services are free to all Southwark residents aged 60+, and we also offer specialist free support services for people of any age living with mild to moderate dementia. We are always looking for more volunteers to bring joy to the lives of older people.

Who benefits from our work

Our services users, who are people over the age of 60 living in Southwark who are suffering from loneliness and isolation. We are also a dementia-friendly charity, and provide support for those of any age living with mild to moderate dementia.
