Start date: Ongoing

What will I be doing?

  • Campaigners will help lead the development and delivery of our campaign strategy for 2019-20. It's a great way to venture into campaigning work at the grassroots level.
  • They will work with a group of community campaigners to develop events to raise awareness.
  • Some of the work will involve engaging with MP's, organising events such as a film screening with panel and developing ideas to get the message out there.
  • We are keen to have creative ideas and events and develop good relationships with stakeholders to help raise the voice and plight of child refugees.
  • Research to develop key campaign themes for the year.

What impact will this have?

  • Raising awareness of the plight of child refugees by events and fundraising
  • Working with MP's and Councillors to instigate meaningful change
  • Help arrange aid convoys (potentially) and get linked with organisations in the sector to volunteer in the UK and abroad
  • Undertake research that can bring about policy change
