Rolling Cultural Programme

Let's have a rolling programme of months devoted to different cultural and religious groups, with a focus in Trafalgar Square? Isn't our world view as Londoners still too restricted? As a 1960's born, White Englishman, I want to continue to embrace and learn from people who have different life experiences / cultural or religious backgrounds... A REGULAR PROGRAME of events every month would encourage awareness across London by being truly inclusive and encouraging different religions and culture to show a wider audience who they are... Understanding leads to acceptance in my view, and I would welcome the chance to support any events that are aimed at bringing people together. If I knew on, say the first Saturday of every month, something would be on in the Square, I would make an effort to go whatever the culture or religion featured.

In the past people used to travel to learn about different cultures. Now someone wanting to learn British culture has nowhere to go. Why Britain can't celebrate own culture?

Hi KingDudley,

The event will add to the variety of events that City Hall already organises for Londoners in celebration of the capital’s diversity, including Diwali, St George’s Day, Eid, St Patrick’s Day, Chanukah, Pride, Lunar New Year and Vaisakhi, amongst many others. You can find out more about the events on the City Hall website: https://www.london.gov.uk/events
