Events like this shouldn't be run by the Mayor. It always smacks of electioneering. I think the Mayor and relevant council should facilitate but not be explicitly branding cultural events. . Why must everything be divided? Lambeth County Fair is a great example of a culturally diverse event. Less encouragement of hiving off people into different groups please, and less trying black people as a cultural monolith, its limiting.
