    Description

    IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve Safety) is a GP based, domestic abuse training support and referral programme run in 8 London boroughs. This evaluation report explores implementation of the programme, with focus on the initial three boroughs to mobilise.
  • Islington and Camden VRU-funded parenting project

    Description

    The London VRU funded Camden and Islington councils to jointly deliver a comprehensive package of support for parents and children at risk of experiencing violence. This included life-course approach programmes and interventions, primary to secondary school transition support, family support and online training. The process focused evaluation was undertaken by London Metropolitan University.

    Description

    Violence is highly geographically concentrated in specific areas in London. This research focuses on nine London neighbourhoods to understand drivers of violence. It enables a localised understanding of issues and informs the VRU's approach to place-based violence prevention.
  • Online Harms Training: Social Switch

    The 'Social Switch' project aims to switch the narrative on how social media's relationship to youth violence is understood, tackled and solved; through training practitioners and supporting young people into sustainable digital careers. Catch 22, the delivery provider, commissioned NPC to evaluate the Social Switch Project in terms of process and outcomes.

    The 'Therapeutic Intervention for Peace' project is a codeveloped and culturally sensitive model of partnership work, aiming to reduce interpersonal youth violence. This End of Programme Report explores process and outcomes and was undertaken by Power The Fight, the primary delivery partner.

    The VRU commissioned The Behaviour Insights Team to work with the Metropolitan Police in developing a framework better understand homicide, how situational and behavioural factors interact, and how we can work in partnership to identify opportunities to intervene earlier. The report details the development and validation of the framework.
