The Sutton Trust recently reported the difference in graduate salaries depending on what university you attended. It was noted that the chance of going to a top university is nearly ten times higher if you come from a rich rather than a poor neighbourhood, and this will contribute to the widening of the gap between rich and poor as those who are already from more affluent backgrounds and attend university tend to earn more throughout their life.
