Why we held a second Reg 19 consultation
To date we have published and consulted on three drafts of OPDC’s Local Plan:
- the Regulation 18 draft Local Plan (February to March 2016)
- the Regulation 19 revised draft Local Plan (June to September 2017)
- the Regulation 19 second revised draft Local Plan (June to July 2018)
A second Regulation 19 consultation
Following the completion of the first Regulation 19 consultation, we have made amendments to the revised draft Local Plan. These amendments were a result of:
- consultation responses
- new and updated supporting studies
- the Draft New London Plan
- changes to national planning guidance
Due to these changes and responses, OPDC carried out a second Regulation 19 consultation from 14 June to midnight on 30 July 2018, following Board approval in early June 2018.
We held a number of consultation events during the consultation period, so that people could speak with the OPDC Planning officers.
Consultation presentation events
Pre-consultation event
Prior to the formal start of the consultation, we held a pre-consultation event to explain the second Regulation 19 consultation, highlighting the key changes and explaining how to respond. The event took place on Thursday 24 May 2018, 6:30pm to 8.00pm at All Souls Church, Harlesden.
Being clear and transparent
In order to be clear and transparent and to show what sections of the revised draft Local Plan have changed, we produced a ‘tracked changed’ version of the second Regulation 19 revised draft Local Plan. It was published at the start of consultation in June 2018 to show the changes that had been made since the first Regulation 19 revised draft Local Plan consultation in 2017.
We also created a ‘clean’ copy of the second Regulation 19 revised draft Local for ease of reading.
Previous submitted comments
If you provided comments on the first Regulation 19 consultation, these comments will continue to be valid and will be submitted to the Secretary of State for the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, along with any new responses to the second Regulation 19 consultation.
If you had no comments on the amendments to the revised draft Local Plan or the new or updated supporting studies no further action was required.
