    Can the Mayor account for the increase in the cost of the proposed London Low Emission Zone from a projected cost of £12.8million in the 5-year investment programme 2004/5 - 2009/10, to an estimated total expenditure of between £85 to £90 million over the same period, or £127 to £132 million to 2015/16, in papers put to the TfL board on 28th September this year?

    Since the Mayor is so concerned with getting Londoners out of their cars and on to buses, can he explain why my constituents in Harold Hill, Romford, have had numerous bus services either cut or diverted? The 750 and 751 bus routes have been taken away, the 374 route cut and the 174 bus route has been cut and moved. Finally the 499 bus service has also been recently diverted.     This depot is run by Metronet. In response to your enquiries, London Underground have provided the following information: Wheel/Rail Screech: Since noise measurements were completed in June 2004, new track lubricators have been installed and hand lubrication is undertaken three times a week. Additionally drivers are instructed to reduce speed in this area to further reduce noise disturbance. These measures have significantly reduced overall noise levels but monitoring continues.
