    The Leader of the Opposition has said that if elected, within the first year, a stand-alone energy company would be set up. You have since endorsed this policy. Can you articulate why you support this proposal and how you see it impacting positively on London?

    At the end of 2021, London Power only had 6423 customers and it is still unknown when the company will break even. What lessons have you learnt from this venture and what do you think should be done differently if the GB Energy proposal you have recently endorsed is set up? How do you think it would contribute to your target to make London net-zero by 2050?

    SME businesses often lack the resource and funding to prioritise making ESG investments. Rather than levy the ULEZ on individuals, wouldn’t you be better off focusing on the provision of free ESG consultancy and grant support for London’s circa 1 million SME businesses to assist them reaching their net zero ambitions?

    The Financial Times has identified that “monthly in-person spending in Zone 1 — the transport area that covers the most central part of the city — was down by 9.7 per cent” compared with May 2019. What are you doing as Mayor to encourage more spending in Zone 1?

    Spending in Westminster is down by 5% compared with May 2019. Although this is better compared to other London Boroughs what work have you done with Westminster City Council since the pandemic to attract more spending in this Borough?

    London is currently 2% down on in person revenue spend compared with May 2019. This compares to every other region of the UK where in-person revenue is up from May 2019 with the North East up as much as 14%. Isn’t it time you concede that as Mayor you have failed to attract inward investment in London?

    The percentage of London pensioners in material deprivation is 12% compared with the next highest region at just under 8%. Can you please explain the drastic difference between London and other regional authorities?
