It was a punishment because one of the expectations that came from the formula was the 'opening of the shop' formula, which I know that Graham was very proud of, and which was going to have a positive impact on Sutton.     I have been grateful to receive a letter from the Traffic OCU Commander regarding the closure of Croydon Police Traffic Garage. I have been advised by the Commander that 'there has been no external consultation on this matter and it is not intended that there should be any.' What merits do you see in public consultation on service changes in the Met that can lead to service reductions?" .

    Croydon and Sutton suffer from a very great deal of graffiti. One of the difficulties in combatting this very expensive curse which entails the spending of significant monies by the London Boroughs of Croydon and Sutton, with the latter now having run out of money to deal with the problem, is the inability of Police Officers to stop and search those that they suspect are intent upon inflicting criminal damage on property with aerosols which they are carrying. Should we as a London Assembly lobby the government and police services to secure this power? .
