  • Housing and Planning (Supplementary) [17]

    • Question by: Emma Best
    • Meeting date: 01 July 2021
Emma Best AM: I am just going to circle back to overcrowding which, in part, we know is due to the lack of family housing of all tenure. My question is for Deputy Mayor Tom Copley and just quite simply a “Yes” or “No”, I would appreciate. Do you think that we need a family housing target in the London Housing Strategy?

    • Meeting date: 01 July 2021
Siân Berry AM: Coming back to the discussion you had with Assembly Member Bailey on the 2021 to 2026 housing grants and the allocations and profiles for it, you kept saying it was coming in the autumn and I think we know that in the public sector autumn runs from September to the end of December. Will it be closer to September [2021] or December [2021] when we get that profile, presumably in time for the budgets?
  • Housing and Planning (Supplementary) [19]

    • Question by: Keith Prince
    • Meeting date: 01 July 2021
Keith Prince AM (Deputy Chairman): Good afternoon, Deputy Mayor. Thank you very much for coming down and visiting the SHC [Partnership] unit at Westminster Abbey yesterday. I am sorry I could not be there. I was at a Transport Committee meeting. You visited the unit, you went into it and you will probably tell me what you felt about it. One of the issues we had is because it is designed to fit on the back of a low loader without a police escort, it does fall just shy of the Mayor’s space standards. This does not seem to be...

  • Healthy Streets in the Old Oak and Park Royal Development Corporation (Supplementary) [1]

    • Question by: Tom Copley
    • Meeting date: 07 September 2017
Good morning. I also have a few questions on the Healthy Streets agenda. The Mayor’s draft Transport Strategy says: “It is essential that a new street network is developed using the Healthy Streets approach to make walking and cycling the first choice across the area.” It also says: “High quality and reliable bus links to and through the area from existing residential communities will also be required to ensure that everyone benefits from the proposals at Old Oak.” How do you balance the competing demands for road space from both these priorities?
  • Vision for Old Oak Common (Supplementary) [2]

    • Question by: Joanne McCartney
    • Meeting date: 07 September 2017
Joanne McCartney AM: Thank you. I want to ask about the National Audit Office (NAO) report last year. It was reported in that report that the DfT had asked HS2 to assess the impact of extending the timetable for phase one up to 12 months. I am just wondering what impact that would have on your development schedule?

    • Question by: Leonie Cooper
    • Meeting date: 07 September 2017
Léonie Cooper AM: Thank you very much, Chair. I wondered if I could ask you, Liz, about the governance issues. In particular, are you confident that the OPDC has the correct governance arrangements and the capacity to simultaneously negotiate public land transfer and co-ordinate the development now occurring on private land?
