    a) Local conservation groups in Hackney have raised concerns about the environmental responsibilities of the Olympic Delivery Authority. Can you set out who will be responsible for delivering the environmental legacy and how much it is expected to cost? (b) Can you assure the people of Hackney that East Marsh will be restored to parkland after the Olympic Games? Are you able to give a timescale for this and for the further improvements they have been promised, specifically a land bridge, improved football facilities and replacement land for Arena Fields?

    A company in Waltham Forest who make products for the construction industry have contacted me because they are worried that although they are on the doorstep of the Olympic site, the main contractors could be free to source products from anywhere in the world. What can be done to ensure that local manufacturing jobs are boosted by the Olympic Games?

    At the meeting of the IOC in Singapore in July, baseball and softball were dropped from the 2012 programme of sports. Is there any process available for nominating other sports that could be included in the 2012 Games, such as Twenty20 cricket, where the infrastructure is already in place?
