Roger Evans AM (Chairman): Thank you. Now, the way we are going to do this, rather than tabling a lot of questions, we have just one question tabled in my name, and then we will take supplementaries from the rest of the Groups. The question that I have tabled is suitably wide to allow the debate to range across really the whole gamut of issues. • Concern (Supplementary) [16]

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 20 June 2012
Boris, a large number of my constituents use the buses to get around boroughs like Havering and Redbridge because the rail links tend to be radial into town. So the announcement you have made today about the progress you are requesting towards resolving the strike is very welcome and I am sure they will be happy to hear that statement. But do you not share my surprise that the unions who were spending July campaigning for large amounts of money for working in the Olympics spent April campaigning for a candidate who was promising to slash public transport fares?
  • New Bus for London (3) (Supplementary) [3]

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 19 January 2011
Roger Evans (AM): Can I welcome Mr Hendy's comments about the changing approach to disability access to buses. Certainly, back in that period 2001 to 2005, I was pointing out that wheelchair access was not, necessarily, the same thing as access for people with disabilities, and the removal of seats was far more harmful to people who needed a seat. Will that process now be changed for other public transport vehicles such as trains? We have seen the removal of seats in recent years and it is a big problem to the increasingly elderly population?

    • Question by: Roger Evans
    • Meeting date: 11 November 2009
