Question
Repairing the bridges over the A406 at Brent Cross
The bridges over the A406 near Brent Cross have been in poor condition for many years, and HGVs are now banned from using the on at the A41. When will the vitally needed works to repair the bridges be taken?
Answer
Date: Tuesday 17 October 2023
Transport for London (TfL) is progressing design work on a project that will renew a number of major structures in the area, including the Brent Cross flyover. TfL continues to discuss the project regularly with the Department for Transport and is preparing a robust business case for submission next year. This business case will outline the funding required for the works at Brent Cross under the Major Road Network Programme. Provided this is successful, TfL anticipates works will begin on site in early 2025.
