London Partnerships Register
Please outline the number of a) heterosexual and b) gay male c) lesbian and d) transgender couples who have signed the London Partnerships Register in each month since it was established.
Answer
Date: Sunday 19 September 2004
812 couples have registered their partnerships since it was established on 4 September 2001. Of these, 546 couples were same-sex male, 241 couples were same-sex female and the remaining 25 couples were heterosexual. Data are not collected as to whether any of the partners are transgender.A table is attached (see Appendix E attached to thte minutes of the meeting) detailing the information in the format requested.
