Biography
Shakira an HR Professional with over 20 years’ experience in both private and public sector working for organisations such as Debenhams, Carphone Warehouse, Fenwicks, Southwark Council and the Civil Service for the past 13 years.
With a specialism in Employment Law and strong background and track record in HR transformation, Shakira has taken on roles across the HR spectrum operating at Board level.
Shakira has a degree in Human Resources and Psychology as well as holding fellowship status of the CIPD. She has schooled and lived in London all her life and currently resides with her teenage son and partner.
Responsibilities
Responsible for leading a high quality, effective and responsive human resources and organisational development function, taking overall leadership on all HR and organisational development issues and oversight of leading key projects and people related activity across the GLA group.
Accountable for organisational development (including leadership, management development and staff engagement) in the GLA to ensure the GLA has the workforce capabilities and agility to satisfy its short, medium and long term objectives.
