The Mayor of London and Mott MacDonald are committed to protecting your privacy and personal data when you contact us or use our services.

Who we are and what we do
The Mayor of London’s Zero Carbon Accelerator is delivered by Mott MacDonald with Energy Saving Trust and an alliance of partners. The Greater London Authority remains the data controller for the personal data processed for the programme.
The Zero Carbon Accelerator website is managed by Energy Saving Trust, a sub-contractor of the Zero Carbon Accelerator Service Provider.

What personal information we collect
We collect various types of personal data, depending on your interaction with us:
- contact information: name, address, email, phone number
- professional details: job titles, organisational information (for example, public sector organisations, social housing providers, community groups).
We do not process any special category data (such as health information) or criminal conviction data as part of this programme.
Why we handle personal information
The legal bases on which we rely to handle your personal data are:
- Consent; insofar as you have submitted your personal data to us in order to process your enquiry, support your access to the Zero Carbon Accelerator programme and progress your application.
- Contract; in the case that your application is accepted and/or we commence the delivery of funded Zero Carbon Accelerator services to your organisation, either online or in person.
- Legitimate interests; in the event that we process your personal data to ensure you have the knowledge and ability to access services and support that we have reason to believe are of interest to your organisation via the role or responsibilities you hold.
Explaining how we use and protect your personal information
Any personal data collected via the Zero Carbon Accelerator website will only be used for the purpose of the Zero Carbon Accelerator programme and will not be shared with any third party unless they are providing a service to us under contract or other formal agreement or disclosure is permitted by, or required by, law.
We will retain your personal data for two years after the Zero Carbon Accelerator programme’s end date unless we are legally required to keep it for longer. Data processed by third-party processors, such as Mott McDonald or Energy Saving Trust, will be deleted immediately after the programme’s conclusion.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure the security of your personal data. These include regular staff training on data protection, monthly reviews, and secure handling processes to maintain data integrity and confidentiality.
Your trust is very important to us and we are strongly committed to keeping your personal data safe. We will take all necessary measures to ensure your personal information is properly protected and secured. This includes having appropriate technical and organisational arrangements to secure your information.
We will never send an unsolicited message to you to ask you to provide your password, financial details or other sensitive information by email or through a link. If you have any concerns about your personal data held by the GLA, please get in touch straight away.
