Read the FAQs about the due diligence work OPDC is undertaking in Old Oak North in preparation for development.

OPDC is seeking to deliver much needed new homes, jobs and infrastructure in Old Oak as set out in the Local Plan.

A Section 5A letter is a statutory notice requiring the recipient to provide information on land interests.

OPDC is assessing the extent of land and rights that will be required to facilitate regeneration plans in Old Oak North. To inform this process, OPDC have appointed land referencing consultants Persona Associates to gather information on land interests.

OPDC is continuing to develop its proposals for Old Oak North. At this stage, OPDC is assessing the extent of land and rights that may be required to deliver its regeneration plans at Old Oak North. The land requisitions process will provide information to OPDC on land ownership within the area.

If you have received a Section 5A letter, this does not necessarily imply that your land is needed to facilitate the delivery of the proposals for Old Oak North. Where it is concluded that land is required, OPDC's clear preference is to agree terms for the acquisition of land and rights and only use its compulsory purchase powers as a last resort.

If you have received a Section 5A letter and would like to discuss it, please contact Siobhan Reade

If you have a more general question about land referencing, please contact OPDC:

Failure to complete and return the notice within the given timescale is a criminal offence. An extension of time can be offered to those parties who are experiencing difficulty. If you are in this situation, please consult the contact details in your letter or contact Siobhan Reade at OPDC ([email protected] or 0203 054 5864) and the team would be happy to discuss how we can support you in providing this information.

You can find information from the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government website on the Compulsory Purchase Orders process.
