Organisation aims / mission / values

  • Celebrate British outdoor heritage.
  • Showcase young farmers and their hard work.
  • Raise awareness of city farms and gardens/all the wonderful things they do!.

How we deliver these aims

The London Harvest Festival is celebrating its 21st year of showcasing urban farms and gardens in 2019! Throughout the years the festival has grown to include young farmers, senior gardeners, and everyone else in between, and has not only raised awareness of the city farms and gardens but also increased education about topics such as sustainable farming and gardening, the UK's horticultural and agricultural heritage, and healthy living.

Who benefits from our work

Our beneficiaries range from young children to the eldest seniors; we provide educational and competitive opportunities for all! This year, we are introducing our special "Freedom Zone" which will specifically cater to those who are less physically able. We will provide tabletop gardening activities and much more! Our city's young farmers also have the opportunity to showcase their hard work through horticultural and animal show competitions. These young people who would otherwise not have an opportunity like this because of their urban location have their confidence built up and make connections with their peers with similar intrests.
