Question

In February this year London City Airport was given permission by the Civil Aviation Authority to concentrate its flight paths.  The decision was taken in the face on considerable opposition from local authorities and local residents.  The CAA is obliged to review that decision by February 2017.  Will the Mayor join me in urging the CAA to conduct an in-depth review which carefully assesses the impact of the concentrated flight paths on local communities?

I would welcome a review by the CAA of the decision and its impacts. I also understand that the CAA is proposing changes to its airspace change process which, going forward, will make it more transparent and better able to engage with local communities.
