Can the Mayor comment on the Office of National Statistics finding in their November 2014 release on Excess Winter Mortality (EWM) Statistics on why the EWM index for London changed the least across all regions since 2012-13?

There has been a reduction in excess winter mortality over the past year. According to the Office of National Statistics, since 2012/13 Excess Winter Mortality has reduced from 18.3% to 11.5% - approximately 1050 fewer excess winter deaths in London.

Like many regions of the UK, fuel poverty is a major challenge. I am therefore taking action on a number of fronts to help alleviate it.
