Given that your Further Alterations to the London Plan seeks to encourage outer London boroughs to increase the amount of housing in town centres through higher densities, will you provide the necessary infrastructure for boroughs by supporting schemes such as the proposal to extend the tram to Sutton via Morden?

Yes, the GLA group will continue to work closely with local boroughs and developers to agree and deliver infrastructure required to support growth. For its part, in the 2014 Business Plan, TfL committed to continue the roll out of its Growth Fund, designed to target transport improvements in areas where there is potential to unlock new homes and jobs.

The GLA group will continue to work with boroughs and developers to secure the necessary funding to make schemes viable, including exploring opportunities to secure third-party funding.
