During the planning of the depot, TfL provided the London Borough of Lewisham with a noise demonstration report detailing how the operational noise would be mitigated. TfL is complying with the commitments in this report. TfL understands that train noise is a concern for local residents and has carried out monitoring to help identify any possible improvements. Although overnight train movements are kept to a minimum, there are no conditions restricting the movement of trains at the New Cross Gate depot during these hours.
