Regeneration projects: public spaces
Making sure that a shared public space is easy and appealing to use is essential for the success of town centres and high streets. If a public space is difficult to get around, it will become underused and eventually unsafe. Ways that we can improve public spaces include:
- better quality surfaces
- better lighting
- more spaces to rest
The Mayor has been working directly with local residents and businesses to fund a range of projects, from major one-off plans to smaller changes.
