ATLAS LDN: Submit your site
We are keen for this process to be as easy and smooth as possible by following these steps.
- Go to the ATLAS LDN portal to apply for support.
- Draw a polygon of your site with a series of clicks on the mapping tool. We would suggest you zoom into the site to ensure the site is accurately plotted.
- Enter the answers to the questions asked.
- HIT SUBMIT
You can download the electronic version of the questionnaire for review of the questions before submitting.
If you work in a borough, your Monitoring Officer will already have used a similar tool in the platform when submitting sites for consideration in the SHLAA. If you’re unsure who to contact in your borough, the ATLAS LDN team can direct you to the appropriate person via the email below.
Applications open on Thursday 29 January 2026 and close at midnight on Thursday 26 February 2026 for this round.
The submission platform will remain open after 26 February 2026, but any submissions received after the deadline may not be reviewed or considered. Late submissions may need to wait until the next round, which will be announced at intervals throughout the year.
What happens after I submit my site?
Following submission of your site(s), ATLAS LDN will:
- Review all site submissions against our prioritisation and site‑selection criteria.
- Identify sites suitable for ATLAS LDN support.
- Discuss shortlisted sites with the relevant boroughs to confirm priorities and shape an appropriate approach to support. Applicants and developers will also be involved at this stage.
- Agree a Project Engagement Plan (PEP) for selected sites, setting out the scope of support, roles, milestones and exit points among other matters.
- Begin support once the PEP is agreed, working alongside the borough in line with the agreed scope.
We aim to respond to all applicants, including those whose sites are not selected. Some sites may be better suited for support at a later stage or through NHA LDN. If this applies to your site, we will contact you to discuss next steps. We aim to confirm whether a submission has been successful within three weeks of the ‘platform closing for the relevant round.

Alternatively, you can book a 15- or 30-minute Microsoft Teams session for personalised support/advice. These sessions are for queries arising on site support submissions only. We won't be able to discuss the planning merits of the case.
