Homes for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2021-2026
The Mayor has secured £4bn from Government to deliver affordable homes in London under the new Homes for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2021-2026.
This funding is expected to support starts on site between 2021 and 2026, with completions expected by 2028 for most projects with some strategic sites completing in 2029.
Homes for Londoners: Affordable Homes Programme 2016-2023
In 2016, Mayor Sadiq Khan secured more than £4.8bn from Government to help start building at least 116,000 affordable homes by March 2023.
This has helped Londoners who would otherwise struggle to rent or buy, and forms part of Homes for Londoners - the Mayor’s work to tackle London’s housing crisis.
In 2020, this programme was extended by 1 year to account for the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on housing delivery in London.
