Accountability as Leaders of Learning
What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?
The challenges for our expanding school are the following:
* changing demographics, with more pupils entering with no English
* changing demographics, with a higher proportion of deprived families
What actions did you take?
The school focused on the rigour and ownership of data to ensure all leaders of learning are accountable for pupil outcomes. This resulted in a sharper focus for progress meetings.
The school used evidenced based research interventions to provide higher quality catch up programmes for pupils. Lines of enquiry questions were implemented by all teachers to ensure that gaps between groups are diminished.
What were the outcomes?
The school has improved outcomes for progress and attainment at the end of KS1 and KS2.
