Small student groups were making less than expected progress. This was identified through the precise use of assessment data which informed accurate predictions.
What actions did you take?
We used a wide range of strategies (including PiXL strategies)
- Raising attainment & progress (RAP) meetings
- Subject specific small group interventions - within the classroom and out of lesson time
- Reading for meaning interventions
- Appropriate deployment of SEND support
- Aspirational targets & high expectations of all learners
- Pre-public examinations & results assemblies
- Excellent teacher understanding of course requirements
- Homework club provision for all students, and many more
What were the outcomes?
Our low prior attaining pupils made outstanding academic progress
