Rosetta Primary School

Increasing aspiration and attainment for all pupils

What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?

Through self-evaluation activities, teachers and school leaders identified certain groups of children as underperforming.

What actions did you take?

- We wrote our own relevant, exciting curriculum and place emphasis on quality CDP for staff so that our curriculum is delivered in an effective and engaging way

- We employed highly qualified Teaching Assistants who can deliver Singapore Maths style interventions ensuring that no child is left behind

- We targeted specific groups of children for very specific interventions, and have a Speech and Language Therapist for two days a week

- We employ an excellent pastoral team comprising of a Inclusion Manager, SENDCo, School Based Social Worker, Attendance Manager, Family Support Worker and Counsellor who work hard to support our children and their families

What were the outcomes?

By the end of KS2 all groups of children do as well, if not better, than their counterpart groups nationally.
