Raising the profile of disadvantage: ensuring all staff are aware of the needs of disadvantaged pupils and how to most effectively support them
Developing a culture of high expectations for all: believing that pupil premium children have the right to succeed academically, as well as being supported emotionally
Rich, broad and engaging curriculum: Inspiring pupils through Contexts for Learning, valuing achievements across the breadth of the curriculum
Ensuring the provision of quality first teaching: High quality verbal feedback, Assessment for Learning embedded
Ensuring rigorous monitoring of children’s progress: involving class teachers, team leaders, senior leaders, governors
Reducing barriers to learning and improving children’s learning attitudes: high quality enrichment opportunities, bespoke nurture and wellbeing support, set pupils challenging goals
What were the outcomes?
Academic, social and emotional success
Accelerated progress: Reading, Writing and Maths
High attainment: 91% in R,W,M 82% combined
