- Experienced Headteacher brought into school

- Joining a successful Federation with capacity to support

- Identification of priority development areas - leadership and learning

- School to school support from SLEs, NLE and Teaching School within Federation

- Development of senior leadership team and middle leadership

- CPD to develop teachers’ subject knowledge

- Embedding a creative curriculum to engage, support and challenge learners

- Accurate assessment of pupils’ strengths and weaknesses

- Developing resilience and positive learning behaviours

- Target setting based on prior attainment

- Challenge to accelerate learning

- Pupil progress meetings to hold teachers’ to account and to ensure all pupils across the school were making expected or accelerated progress

- Improving learning environments and opportunities

- Developing strong pastoral support for pupils, staff and families

What were the outcomes?

Accelerated learning and progress in the top 10% of schools -

+7.9 Reading, +7.6 Writing, +8.7 Maths.
