Every child enjoys learning, feels valued and achieves success

What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?

Students had:

  • Low self -esteem
  • Low socio-economic backgrounds
  • Poor communication skills
  • Undiagnosed SEN needs
  • Poor social interaction skills

These were identified during home visits and their induction.

What actions did you take?

  • Ensured parents and pupils knew they were part of a nurturing and supportive environment on entry
  • Created new initiatives to support our community overall
  • Enabled inspiring teaching through a creative curriculum, designed by teaching staff
  • Implemented a transparent fair behaviour system to achieve consistency
  • Ensured all teaching staff shared vision and aims to improve the aspirations of our pupils
  • Implemented effective support programmes for underperforming pupils throughout the school, identified through termly assessment meetings involving all teaching staff
  • Created Individual support programmes for identified vulnerable children and groups

What were the outcomes?

No vulnerable groups underperformed.

Pupils from low starts made progress in top 6% of London schools.
