Oakington Manor School 2018/19
Success for ALL
What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?
- Low aspirations
- Low baseline at the start of school
- High EAL
- High SEN
What actions did you take?
The whole school focused on working on the priorities. The school organised key stakeholders to meet termly to identify barriers to pupils’ learning and achievement.
The meetings focused on mitigating barriers and identifying strategies to achieve positive outcomes for all pupils.
We used the meetings to measure progress towards achieving our goals, through a personalised learning plan for each child
Target groups were created to support our low prior attaining pupils. We funded mentoring and coaching, by outstanding teachers, for staff and pupils through our Pupil Premium budget.
We also provided intensive support in KS1 for reading, to ensure age appropriate outcomes.
What were the outcomes?
School consistently performs above or in line with national standards for reading, maths, phonics and good level of development.
