What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?
Gaps in basic knowledge, reading comprehension, lack of 'experience'. Identified through formative and summative assessment. Use of one-to-one and small group teaching time to identify needs.
What actions did you take?
Targeted, bespoke support programmes delivered by qualified teachers. Ranging from one-to-one, small group sessions during school time to before school, lunchtime after school and holiday booster classes.
What were the outcomes?
Year 6 outcomes (2018/19) - RWM combined 79% at Expected Standard, 18% at above Expected Standard. 75% of disadvantaged children.
