What problems were in your school and how did you identify them?

The school has a high percentage of disadvantaged pupils.

What actions did you take?

We strive for progress at all levels. Interventions were put in place for both low and high achievers. These were regularly evaluated and reviewed. We reviewed the curriculum to ensure it was inspiring for our pupils, to support their interests and their needs.

We reviewed outstanding teaching practice across the school ensuring the criteria for outstanding learning was embedded.

What were the outcomes?

Progress in reading, writing and maths was significantly above average and in the highest 10%.
