To provide rich, varied and purposeful learning experiences and opportunities, supported by strong trusting relationships in an exceptional environment, that inspire pupils to aspire to achieve their dreams.
What actions did you take?
To provide rich, varied and purposeful learning experiences and opportunities, supported by strong trusting relationships in an exceptional environment, that inspire pupils to aspire to achieve their dreams.
Our strategic approach was to:
- Create a highly stimulating Community Curriculum, with the child at its heart, emphasising arts, music, sport and our progressive outdoor learning curriculum.
- Invest in meaningful relationships with pupils and their families; knowing each child well
- Work in partnership with pupils, parents, carers, governors and local partners, to engage learners, stimulate their imaginations and cherish their individuality
- Develop pupils’ intrinsic values through our Be the Best you can Be! programme to instil the skills of: self-empowerment, respect, readiness, responsibility, resilience, resourcefulness and reflectiveness
- Implement Post Data Action Plans to enable teachers to regularly identify groups of pupils who required short term learning interventions
What were the outcomes?
Very strong attainment and achievement for pupils (dramatically above national).
