CDI Apps for Good

Supporting teaching of the new computing curriculum at KS3 and 4

Support for new computing curriculum KS3 & 4

The Apps for Good course was built around students finding problems to solve, then building, launching and marketing a solution using technology. Alongside improving their digital competency, students developed essential 21st century skills such as problem-solving, communication and team work.

Apps for Good worked with 105 schools across London. The success of the programme was focussed on the ongoing development of teachers’ skills, knowledge, pedagogy and their overall confidence.

Teachers have reported that their computing subject knowledge and understanding of teaching methods has improved. Pupils knowledge of coding and programming skills improved significantly. CDI Apps aims to continue their delivery across London and beyond by working in collaboration with their participating schools.
