Rainbow Fruit Tart
Description:
The meaning for my piece is to bring comfort by portraying the tart as colourful. Each colour has its own uniqueness and does not overshadow one another by creating a beautiful image embracing all different shapes and forms of fruit. This acts as a guide in our society. Each piece representing an aspect; for example the tart represents the earth and how each fruit has the same place like our humans on earth. I have used clay to capture the idea that no one is a fixed person or the same. We all have different identities, however that does not define where we stand on this planet. As we are all 'one' and should embrace one-another so everyone shines. The extreme range of colours therefore represents the diversity on earth. The pearls and jewels around the piece adds on to the message that 'we can all shine even in different forms' we do not have to be a pearl or an exquisite jewellery to stand out. Just being yourself is enough and worthy of your own brilliance to shine. Everyone is constantly changing and everyone deserves equality.

The beauty of a book
Description:
I crafted this sculpture to embody the haunting beauty of a captivating book. In our modern age, society finds itself ensnared by the vast web of the internet, chasing fleeting moments of joy through bite-sized media. Yet a profound book can offer a similar surge of delight, lasting far longer. As you look upon my creation, I invite you to embrace the world of reading. You don't need to read for hours; even immersing yourself in the first few pages, rather than scrolling on your phone, can truly transform your experience.

The Game of Life
Description:
The artwork that I've created is based on my favourite game. In the game you get to create people and customise them to whatever you want them to look like and after that you decide everything for them. In my sculpture, the eye represents you controlling every aspect of life, and stick man is the game letting you control them.

Beneath the Surface
Description:
This piece of artwork was inspired by my trip to Norway, when we saw the whales diving into the sea from a boat. I thought this would be the perfect idea to go on the Fourth plinth because it captures the beauty of nature and how stunning it can really be. For this piece I decided to put my pottery skills to work to create this entry for the competition.
