Shadows of War
Description:
This piece represents what life was like before war. We can see that there are trees and greenery, and life was fulfilling. During war the clouds are grey, the greenery has been painted red, people's families have been torn apart. I picked this piece because it showcases two sides of war and opens an eye to the perspective of a boy who used to play games but now is obligated to fight. Before the war, the air is filled with laughter and children play unaware of the storm yet to come. During war the sky is being suffocated by thick smoke, dreams are swallowed by dust, leaving the earth trembling beneath the weight of death.

The bigger the issue, the smaller the voice
Description:
My piece displays the message of how ' the bigger the issue, the smaller the voice' and vice versa. The mountain displays the larger problems, with a small speech bubble, showing the small voices of those with larger issues. The molehill represents the smaller issues that are spoken about with larger voices that are amplified by social media. Those with the voice to speak about these problems are busy caring for people to have the time and energy to speak out and let the world know.

Finding beauty
Description:
The social message for my piece is that through all the doom and gloom of our world, we can find happiness and beauty in the wonders of our world. However, it seems we are destroying that too.
