Meet Ecosync

EcoSync’s energy tech platform aims to reduce the carbon footprint of our buildings by eliminating the energy waste caused by heating empty rooms.

At present, 39% of energy consumption and C02 emissions come from our buildings. Yet, many large organisations spend millions on energy bills to heat rooms that stand empty. On average, 70% of their rooms are not in use, and so 40% of their total energy is wasted.

By using EcoSync’s cloud-based platform, organisations can tackle the cost, C02 pollution and wasted energy with one solution.

Their innovative platform works with existing building technologies, including room booking systems and heating control to synchronise and communicate intel about which rooms are in use.

EcoSync uses IoT devices, machine learning algorithms and an innovative hardware-free occupancy detection technology to identify empty rooms and create responsive heated zones where needed.

In modern buildings that are already using tech to control aspects of their functionality, EcoSync’s platform can be easily connected. However, given that 35% of the commercial buildings in the EU are 50 years old or more, the company offer a retrofitted solution too.

This retrofitted solution has been successfully implemented in buildings including Oxford University’s Exeter College, where the current hall was built in the 17th Century, and Lady Margaret College, also part of the historic university and built in the 18th Century.

Given the success of the retrofitted solution, EuroSync hopes to help hotels, hospitals, office buildings and many other organisations to reduce their energy cost and consumption.

The company’s website has a calculator functionality where those interested to find out more. It's easy to discover the potential savings of cost and energy by calculating the positive impact EcoSync could make on bills and carbon footprint.
