
The External Relations Unit supports the Greater London Authority (GLA) in promoting the Mayor’s vision and strategies to Londoners. It aims to help GLA teams communicate the benefits of this work in a clear and compelling way.
The unit is responsible for the GLA's marketing and communications strategy and delivering GLA events. This includes digital, sponsorship, campaigns, digital communications, events and creative (design and copywriting).
Tomorrow, in the first meeting since leaving the City Hall building, the GLA Oversight Committee will discuss the 8 per cent increase in spending in the External Relations team from the £4.8 million that was anticipated for 2022-23 in the 2021-22 Budget, to £5.2 million. The Committee will also question two new Mayoral Advisors who were appointed in a restructure of the Mayor’s Office, after the May 2021 election.
