TfL land – are we getting the best deal?

View of the London Docklands
Created on
31 October 2016
  • What contribution will TfL land make to housebuilding in London and how quickly?

  • How much of TfL land is developable?

  • Why isn’t TfL working with smaller builders?

  • How will the Mayor’s ‘50 per cent affordable’ target affect plans for sites?

  • Does the Mayor expect all new homes built by TfL to be zero carbon?

Tomorrow the London Assembly Housing Committee will examine how the Mayor can ensure that Londoners get the best deal from Transport for London (TfL) land.

The Committee will hear from the following guests:

  • James Murray, Deputy Mayor for Housing and Residential Development

  • Simon Powell, Assistant Director - Strategic Projects and Property, GLA

  • Lester Hampson, Director of Property Development, TfL

The meeting will take place on Tuesday 1 November from 10:00am in The Chamber (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend and the meeting can also be viewed via webcast.
