Social housing providers faced urgent challenges following the Grenfell Tower fire. Now they are taking stock of the wider implications.
The London Assembly Housing Committee will tomorrow ask:
- What changes have been made to the maintenance and refurbishment of existing housing blocks?
- What effects have these changes had on providers’ development plans?
- How exactly are social housing blocks managed and how are resident involvement mechanisms changing as a result of what we now know?
The guests are:
- Andy Bates, JMB Manager, Leathermarket JBS
- Chyrel Brown, Director of Resident Services, Hyde Group
- Pat Hayes, Managing Director, Be First
- Sue Foster OBE, Strategic Director Neighbourhoods and Growth, Lambeth Council
- Su Gomer, Lead Commissioner, Lambeth Council
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 27 February from 10:00am in Committee Room 5 (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
Media and members of the public are invited to attend
The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or YouTube
