Is LFB’s safety plan still fit for purpose?

Created on
22 May 2019

The London Safety Plan covers:

  • Prevention and protection
  • Response and resilience
  • People and resources

Halfway through the life of the Plan, is it time to take stock?

While the London Fire Brigade has made progress in the majority of its 39 active commitments, four were off-target, including flood response and vehicle compliance.

The London Assembly Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee will tomorrow examine the challenges and opportunities presented by the London Safety Plan. The Committee will also seek an update on operations following the Grenfell Tower blaze.

The following guests will attend:

  • Dany Cotton QFSM, London Fire Commissioner
  • Dr Fiona Twycross AM, Deputy Mayor for Fire and Resilience

The meeting will take place on Thursday 23 May at 2.00pm in the Chamber, City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or on our YouTube channel.
