GLA Core Budget: £38 million savings needed but where from?

The Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, is required to consult the London Assembly annually on all budget submissions for the Greater London Authority (GLA) and its functional bodies including TfL, the London Fire Brigade and the Metropolitan Police Service.

Tomorrow, the Budget and Performance Committee will will look at the GLA’s core budget submission for 2021-22.



The GLA announced last week that savings of up to £38 million are being sought for 2021-22. The Budget and Performance Committee will investigate what impact the budget cut will have on vital services for Londoners.

The guests are:

· David Bellamy, the Mayor’s Chief of Staff

· Mary Harpley, Chief Officer, GLA

· David Gallie, Executive Director of Resources, GLA

· Rickardo Hyatt, Interim Deputy Executive Director of Housing and Land, GLA

· Phil Graham, Executive Director of Good Growth, GLA

· Sarah Mulley, Executive Director of Communities and Skills, GLA

· Niran Mothada, Executive Director of Strategy and Communications, GLA



The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 24 November 2020 from 10.00am.



In line with Government advice, this meeting will take place virtually.
