Southall CPO

The redevelopment of Southall gas works is a key regeneration scheme within the Southall OAPF area which will provide up to 3,750 new dwellings, a new primary school, healthcare, leisure provisions and nearly 50,000m2 of employment space including retail, offices, hotel and conference facilities.

Redevelopment of the Site is dependent on the acquisition of certain third party land interests and new rights to enable, amongst other things, the creation of access into the main body of the site. The Greater London Authority made a CPO on 23 September 2014 and an inquiry was held during July 2015 and closed in August 2015. The Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government confirmed the Greater London Authority (Southall Gasworks) CPO on 28 January 2016.
