The Environment Committee welcomes the opportunity to respond to Defra’s consultation on the Draft Flood and Water Management Bill. This Bill covers many of the areas the Assembly has previously addressed either through the Environment Committee or its Health and Public Services Committee. Key areas covered by the draft Bill, alongside the Committee’s previous findings, are examined in this response.
