London’s Budget Priorities

The Budget and Performance Committee will begin its annual scrutiny of the Mayor’s 2026-27 budget, speaking with external experts and focussing on three of the key areas of the Mayor’s budget – policing, housing and transport.  The guests are:

The Royal Docks is one of London’s largest regeneration and investment opportunities at the centre of an expanding east London region.  The Audit Panel will examine a Royal Docks Audit Report, internal and external audit reports, the corporate risk register and expenses and taxable benefits. Road space, driving and congestion

London was named the most congested city in Europe in INRIX’s 2024 Global Traffic Scorecard. It found that London accounts for approximately 50 per cent of all UK traffic daily.  The Transport Committee will begin its investigation into Road space, driving and congestion.  The guests are:

Public disorder resilience

GLA Oversight Committee – The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 2pm

The GLA Oversight Committee will scrutinise how the GLA engages with blue light services in arrangements for London resilience, with Londoners to prepare them in the event of an emergency and is managing risks against cyber security in London.  The guests are:
