Renters' Rights Act in London

The Housing Committee will meet to begin its investigation into implementing and monitoring the Renters’ Rights Act.  The guests are:

Road space, driving & congestion

Transport Committee The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am

As part of its investigation into road space, driving and congestion, the Transport Committee will put evidence it has heard throughout the investigation to Transport for London (TfL). The Committee will also put questions to TfL on bus journey times, following its meeting on this topic in December. The guests are:

The GLA Oversight Committee will look at the ‘big picture’ of Plenary meetings, gathering external views on the purpose of Plenary, and suggestions for how Plenaries, or elements of Plenaries, might be done differently. The guests are:

Breast Cancer Screening

Health Committee The Chamber, City Hall, Kamal Chunchie Way, 10am

In February 2025, the NHS in London launched the first ever breast screening campaign to help increase detection of cancers at an earlier stage. The Health Committee will question:

Panel 1: 10:00 – 10:55

  • Helen Dickens, Chief Support Officer, Breast Cancer Now
  • Lee Dibben, Education & Policy Manager, OUTpatients
  • Leeanne Graham, Advocacy Lead, Black Women Rising

Panel 2: 11:00 – 11:55

  • Dr Josephine Ruwende, Consultant in Public Health; Cancer Screening Lead, NHS England - London Region
  • Zara Gross, Programme Manager, Early Diagnosis, South East London Cancer Alliance
  • Dr Will Teh, Consultant Radiologist and Director, North London Breast Screening Service

The meeting will also question TfL about public health messaging on the TfL estate. The guests are:

Panel 3: 12:00 – 12:55

  • Nicole Valentinuzzi, Assistant Director of External Relations, Greater London Authority (GLA)
  • Emma Strain, Customer Director, TfL
